World Bank Development Indicators
The WDI includes more than 800 indicators in over 80 tables organized in 6 sections: World View, People, Environment, Economy, States and Markets, and Global Links.
United Nations Development Programme: Human Development Reports
Each year the Human Development Report (HDR) presents a wealth of statistical information on different aspects of human development.
World Health Organization: Core Health Indicators
WHOSIS, the WHO Statistical Information System, is an interactive database bringing together core health statistics for the 193 WHO Member States. It comprises more than 70 indicators, which can be accessed by way of a quick search, by major categories, or through user-defined tables. The data can be further filtered, tabulated, charted and downloaded.
Demographic and Health Surveys and Statcompiler
Statcompiler provides quick facts and country comparisons, allowing users to build customized tables from hundreds of DHS surveys and indicators. Each DHS country survey provides data for a wide range of monitoring and impact evaluation indicators in the areas of population, health, and nutrition.
UNICEF: Monitoring the situation of children and women
Statistics include health, nutrition, and education statistics on children and women. IN addition, there is the UNICEF-supported Multiple Indicator Cluster Surveys (MICS), with disaggregated data.
UNESCO: Institute for Statistics
The Data Centre contains over 1,000 types of indicators and raw data on education, literacy, science and technology, culture and communication. The UIS collects the data for more than 200 countries from Member States and international organizations.

The UN Development Group (UNDG) unites the UN funds, programmes, agencies, departments, and offices that play a role in development. The database collects reports from various country teams.

International Labour Organization: Statistics
Labour statistics describe the size, structure, characteristics, outputs and contributions of the participants in the labour market and how these change over time. From an economic perspective, these statistics are useful to analyse, evaluate and monitor the way the economy is performing and the effectiveness of current and longer term economic policies. From a social perspective, they are useful to achieve decent work, through policies and programmes for job creation, training and retraining schemes, and assistance for vulnerable groups, including the young, the aged, women, etc., in finding and securing decent employment.

This web site includes statistics on poverty and other distributional and social variables in 21 Latin American and Caribbean countries. All statistics are computed from microdata of the main household surveys in these countries obtained from the household surveys databank of the Program for the Improvement of Surveys and the Measurement of Living Conditions in Latin America and the Caribbean (MECOVI), a joint initiative of the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank and the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC). Statistics are updated periodically.
