'Post-FfD4 Reflections: A gender-transformative economic system based on rights, justice, care, and equality for all'
On Tuesday 21 April CESR's Mahinour ElBedrwai will co-facilitate this important conversation at the 2026 Financing for Development Forum, bringing feminist perspectives to the forefront of global economic debates.
'Post-FfD4 Reflections: A gender-transformative economic system based on rights, justice, care, and equality for all' will take place at the UN Women HQ in New York. Convened by the Feminist Workstream of the Civil Society Financing for Development Mechanism and the Economic Justice and Rights Action Coalition, with support from UN Women, the event will explore alternatives to market-driven development models that risk deepening inequality and undermining public services.
At the roundtable, feminist leaders, policymakers, and civil society actors will examine pathways toward equitable, rights-based economic systems centering care, redistribution, and accountability.
